Our Parish

The Parishes of Mt Vincent and Weston in the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle were united in a cooperating relationship under the leadership of Fr Wayne Sheean in May 2007.

This was a new development for the modern diocese, and reflected the difficulties which many small parishes have been experiencing, but our two communities were committed to making the relationship work.

In November 2010, Diocesan Council, on recommendation of the Bishop of Newcastle, approved the creation of the Parish of Mount Vincent and Weston. The parish was proclaimed on January 23, 2011, and the newly-appointed parish priest, Fr Keith Joseph was commissioned on the same day.

We welcome new worshippers to any of our services, which vary in style from the relaxed Saturday evening services to the more traditional Sunday morning liturgy, with special liturgies such as Taize and Evensong celebrated once per month.
